We designers and design specialists will use our abilities to the utmost to help realize sustainable societies, so that future generations may continue their human life on this planet far into the future.
We will create designs with the lowest possible environmental impacts, by minimizing resource and energy consumption throughout the life cycle of products, structures, services, and systems, etc.
We will create designs, with due regard for equity and justice?so that things that are truly needed can be used by the greatest number of people.
We will create designs with due respect for cultural diversity?by recognizing diversity in people’s values, which are rooted in their history, customs and traditions.
We will show, in as much detail as possible, images of what the future sustainable society will look like, and inspire people with designs to make it a reality.
We will offer designs that are as concrete as possible so that the greatest number of people can share a vision of sustainable society. And to help society arrive at that destination quickly, we will draw roadmaps to get there.
