TOYOTA Shirakawa-Go Eco-Institute


Shirakawa-go is in between Toyama and Ishikawa prefectural boundary, and formally it is in "Shirakawa village, Oono-gun, Gifu prefecture" and it a small village with a population of only 1900 people.Shirakawa-go's ogimachi Gassho style settlement has been registered as world culture heritage in UNESCO.

TOYOTA Shirakawa-Go Eco-Institute has been managed by "NPO Shirakawa-go nature symbiosis forum".

This Institute's propose is a lifestyle profitable for the society of the future. Domestic and foreign NPO･NGO, cooperation, and wisdom of nature are valued, and the root environmental education where it sits is done to the region.
